Hi, guys. I picked up a glove at Goodwill today, but I have no idea what brand or year. It says "Made in Japan" on the wrist strap. Can any of you experts give a newbie some help? I'm guessing it's from the very late 1950s through the 1960s.

It says (on the heel):
No. 6003
Guaranteed
Genuine Top Grain
Cowhide
Oil Treated

On the thumb (cursive):
Prima De Luxe

On the pinky (cursive):
Professional Model

On the wrist strap:
Made in Japan

I apologize for the lack of photos. I will take a couple and try to post them.

Thanks in advance for any help. The glove cleaned up really well with a little Nokona NLT.

There was a huge influx of imported gloves in the 50's and 60's. Many companies came and went with little fanfare and little is known about them. Unfortunately, their offerings were not as well documented as, say, Rawlings, Wilson, MacGregor or other domestic sporting goods companies and their history remains a mystery. Such is likely the case with your glove.
