I happened on this at a garage sale a couple weeks ago on my way to a softball tournament. Couldn't pass it up!

Thats a terrific garage sale find!...thanks for showing. I have to get back into going to garage sales myself...if you can get past all the baby clothes there are occasional great finds to be had.

What state do you live in? That kind of glove find at a yard sale has never happened to me here in northern CA. Your glove is pretty valuable. It was one of Stall & Deans best gloves circa 1940. Send a pic after you clean it up.

I live in northern Michigan and don't see many older gloves, mostly 70s-80s vintage. I would love to clean it up, but have never attempted it. May give it a try on another glove first before doing this one.

Hey river man. That particular glove was Oil treated at the factory and scratches real easily. I would try a dry cotton cloth without any conditioners or cleaners to start with. I have one of these gloves and just love it. It weights a ton! I don't think mine has been used much. The stampings are all very clear . I will psot a picture that you can use as a reference in case you need to find stampings and such. Great find! Contests!

Cheers
