I would have been thrilled if it was a Rawlings RR instead, but I never find close ups of those. Cool looking mitt, though.

I wonder if your mitt mitt has the "heel flap" to place the sponge?

I thought that's where they hid the rasp to scuff up the ball for the pitcher. :?

Maybe just a little extra padding, but a neat hiding place, right Mike. Elston Howard used to use the clasps on his shin guards to rough up the balls for Whitey. When we would go to games as a kid, we used to snicker when the catchers would use women's "falsies" to pad their catchers mitts. :roll:
