November / December 2009 Additions

With all that's been going on the last two months I haven't had an opportunity to share my pick-ups - I have some exciting stuff on the way but these items aren't too shabby either. :) Most of these came from trades so thanks to those who were kind enough to swap with me.

1940's Spalding advertisement for bats and balls - it's 3D, 23"x19" and super cool!

Everytime I visited JD's site over the past two years, there was one glove that I channeled my inner Wayne Campbell everytime I looked at it ("It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine). I can now say, it is! Thanks JD for the trade!

You're welcome. It needed to be with the others. That's funny. Every time I see that Victor Box I say the same thing. :D It's just a matter of time. I'll be patient like you were.

I went back and looked at the catalog and it is called the Double Button Y Pattern Strap. I have called it an X Pattern all these years. It is now proudly labeled correctly in the OK Gallery.

JD

P.S. - Those of you not putting up traders in the Collectors Corner are really missing out.

Another OK - this time a Ray Mack (an OK endorsement I'd never seen)

Last ones for 2009:

Horace Partridge model PO Professional model split finger (endorsement unreadable). Has a Partridge tag I hadn't seen - lists Boston, Cleveland and Charlotte. Interesting.

OK MFG Co. model JM Rudy York 1B mitt - my dad has two of these, figured it was time to add my own. Huge glove!

1930's D&M Sporting Goods advertising sign. I was surprised this didn't have more action on it.
