Doak Model H - Rawlings - nice stamping

Postby cjw » May 25th, 2009, 6:49 pm

Picked this up yesterday at a "flea market" here in Vancouver. Never too much in the way of baseball (or sports, for that matter) so I was pleased to find this. Its the first Doak model I've had. Nice stamping, too bad it has a "chunk" taken out of it below the wrist strap. Would this be a 1947-53 model? Thanks! chris

I would say it is a war issue Doak, because of the USA stampings and lack of a cloth Rawlings patch. Nice pick up!

It is a military glove. The U.S.A. stands for United States Army.

joe, you need to copy the IMG code and not the HTML. Hope that helps.
