April pickups

Postby Rickybulldog » April 17th, 2009, 11:31 pm

I got a new computer and will be able to post pictures more on the forum. I know April isn't over with, but here are some of the new things.

Around the horn

1. Black Rawlings Marty Marion US Army issued. Got this one off ebay.

2 Marathon Carl Hubbel endorsed fielder's glove. Nice feel. Ebay as well.

3. Orange suede full web. Great felt liner. Definite keeper. I got this in a trade.

4. Nice brown (JC Higgins?) one inch web. Top quality. I got this in a trade as well.

5. Super seamless thumb Wilson split finger. WOW! Ebay pick up!

6. Dead center. Duck web fielder's glove with webs clipped. Ebay

Yes, great gloves, Ricky. How come you brought them all to my house except the orange suede one? Don't fear the Roberts. By the way nice visual.

"All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the Roberts
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain..we can be like they are
Come on baby...don't fear the Roberts
Baby take my hand...don't fear the Roberts
We'll be able to fly...don't fear the Roberts"

It's Gotta have more cowbell though.

I think Sandra would have known something was up if I loaded up the truck with tons of gloves. Hey while I was at it, why didn't I just loaded up the truck with a mannequin?

Yea, I'm sure you're right that bringing ten gloves instead of nine would have signalled something was up. If it's not too much to ask, next time drop out one that you know I won't want for the killer one. Just kidding man, nice pickups.

Hey 9 out of 10 isn't bad. Maybe I left it in the car like the lone glove you brought to my house that one time. A trapeze glove you play catch with I believe. Ah, what a sad showing that was......

I think that was like two years ago so I think the statute of limitations has run out on that. I just happened to be in the area and yet I still had with me a beauty TG12 Musial, if my memory seres correctly. Maybe I was trying to show you the virtues of a well-rounded collection. Don't be such an old-glove-only snob.
