I found this at the local swap meet today

It is pretty well constructed (nice lace pattern) and in mint condition (the inside feels great)

Does anyone have any information on this model?

Hurricane Glove

Postby softball66 » January 21st, 2007, 7:38 pm

When the great Kansas glove find was made in the early 1990s about 30 or 40 of these Hurricane gloves, all unused, turned up. Dave B. donated a bunch of them to his Church. We could never figure out where they came from except they were imports from a distributor in the 1950s or '60s.
We thought maybe the name was picked up from Bob "Hurricane" Hazel, the Milwaukee Braves 1957 phenom who came up late in the year setting the league on fire with his hot bat. Not sure of the origins though.
There were a number of Wichita Sporting Goods gloves in the batch too.

Thank you, that is a very interesting story. It makes me wonder if this isn't one of those found at that time, because there is zero signs of use on this glove.
