Interesting Wilson A2000...Pro-Stock?

Postby glove-works » November 27th, 2007, 11:58 pm

Was surprised to find this A2000 stamped with a J1673 in the palm. I expected this to be an XLO, but at only 11.75" and having no XLO marking (Just "THE A2000") on the thumb I am led to believe it's something a bit unique.

Anyone have any thoughts?

pro stock glove

That's the general area where Wilson stamped their pro stock gloves, the inside thumb. Usually these would have only four numbers. Haven't seen a letter in front of the four numbers like this but I've not seen that many pro stock gloves. Now to figure out whose initials E.W. are? Likely a minor leaguer bu who knows?
