Postby cjw » October 24th, 2007, 12:36 am

Hi..I found a nice lot of baseball items this past week...not typical for Vancouver (not for me anyway). (A few of the gloves were found earlier thism summer, but I haven't got aroound to posting questions about them yet) .Any help indentifying the era of the gloves, bats and masks would be appreciated! Any of these have any value beyond display? Thanks...

Sounds like a nice assortment of interesting items. The photos will definitely help us out. I wonder the crescent pad gloves could possibly be softball mitts. A lot of gloves in the 1930's that were made for softball has the raised padding.

Looks like you found some neat items. The crescent gloves are definitely softball gloves from the 1930's and 40's. The Reach 1B mitt you have is quite neat.
