old, not old

picked this up a while ago. doesn't seem to be that old yet the player endorsement (Johnny Fox) only appears to have played in 1888. any ideas?

There’s was another John Fox that played in the minor leagues…born mid 1920’s I believe and played in the 40’s-50’s…likely this is his endorsement;)
