Neat Book

While going through some books today I came across one that I think any glove enthusiast would enjoy. It is called "Bat, Ball, Glove: The Making of Major League Baseball Gear." by William Jaspersohn, 1989, ISBN 0316458201. This book is written for younger readers but takes you through the Rawlings plant as a glove is created. Bob Clevenhagen is pictured and the books talks about his role as a glove designer. There are tons of great pictures from inside the factory. Definitely check it out if you have the opportunity.

I picked one up pretty cheap from bn.com . Definitely for younger readers, but I still enjoyed it and my oldest son was happy when he got home from school and it was waiting for him. Between the gloves and cards I buy my boys pretty much expect to find something interesting when they get off the bus.
