i wonder why, if rawlings is thinking of reintroducing some gloves(Haddix, Muscial) why Mantles personal model would not be on the list. Difficulty getting permission from Mantle family? I dealt with them over somthing and they were rather difficult. You would think that anything that promotes and remembers their Dad/husband would be welcome. There was a reissue of his MM glove for the pall bearers of his funeral and i have seen 1 of those come up for auction(moose skowron i think or bauer) and it went over a 1000.00.

I wonder if a standard glove endorsement contract has an expiration date, or if Rawlings retains the rights to use the endorsement anythime they choose?

When I talked to Bob, about the new Musial glove, he told me that they were issuing the glove, but where still hoping to hammer out a deal with Musial so they could use his signiture on the glove. So I assume those deals expired. He also told me one other time that when the Rawlings factory (the regular production line) closed that the dyes that stamped the glove signitures "disappeared". Within that group were all the old time player sigs for gloves made at that plant, as well as sigs of presidents for whom they made gloves for upon thier election to office. I am guessing that since Musial is alive they can get his auto pretty easy, and can probably make one off of an exisiting one for the HH for a very reasonable $$ from his family, but as you stated, I would think the Mantle sig would be more difficult, and expensive dealing with his family. My guess is these first two gloves are a test run, and if they go over well, there could be more made, opening up the possiblity for Mantle, or something like the TG-12 maybe?
