Made is USA vs. "Assembled in USA"

Postby JC » June 21st, 2006, 3:19 pm

I saw a Rawlings glove on eBay this week described as "Assembled in USA".

What exactly does this mean?

How does this differ from "Made in the USA"?

I know those gloves were a batch made exclusively for Eastbay. I remember they claimed they were made from 'code 5 leather'. I owned a couple of them and remember they were very stiff and slightly smaller than the origionals. Hope this helps.
