Ken Wel question

Postby mittmutt » July 14th, 2007, 4:15 pm

A Ken Wel I have Talked about here on the forum has the words " worlds champions" as part of the stamping. Any significance to those words? It seems that there is not much info available on Ken Wel gloves.

Is this the Paul Dean glove you posted about earlier?

Possibly a reference to the fact that St. Louis won the World Series in 1934. That was Daffy's first year with the club- and a fine rookie year it was! His 19-11 record and 150 strikeouts placed him near the top of the MVP voting. He was 2-0 in the Series with a 1.00 ERA.[/list]

Do you think that all ken wel gloves that came out with cards players names that year may have had the stamping or maybe just the indiviual players themselves had these marks?
