Vintage Baseball Glove Forum

Hello,

New to the boards, so I apologize if this is the wrong group or I'm making some other newbie error. I did search the boards and haven't found what I"m looking for.

I'm looking for information regarding a glove I found recently. It appears to say "Buffalo Leather Sporting Company" with a model number of D8015.

In the palm, it says "Genuine Cowhide Oil Treated", "Lou Gehrig Type".

I'm assuming this is from the 1930's or 1940's.

Does anyone have any other information about it? Any idea of value?

This was a post career glove - probably early 1950's. They aren't too rare but still sell well because of the Gehrig name. I had one last fall that I ran on eBay and it sold for about $200. The value fluctuates a bit - you may get a little more or a little less.
