Back in 2010 there was a short (3 entry) thread here asking about a 1953 Kraft Caramel Contest glove. No images were posted. I am in the process of acquiring such a glove (which may be the same one mentioned in the earlier thread). I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light on its origin.

This glove is still in transit to me, but has the following stamped in the palm:

Kraft Golden Anniversary
1903-1953
3rd Annual
World Series
Kraft Caramel Contest
1953
Spalding Logo
Fast Play

Kraft had contests that awarded prizes for sending them empty bags of their caramels and "Fudgies." Maybe the glove was one of the prizes.
Here's part of an ad for their 1960 contest, the grand prize being a baseball park. That's a pretty good prize. Among the lesser prizes were catcher's equipment and Wilson bats.

I had thought that this was a national contest prize also, but have not been able to find anything other than local contests in 1953.
