Speaking of Play It Again....

So, I work at a PIAS in Northbrook Il, and have seen many gloves come through, and have picked a couple up for cheap, rehabbed them, and given them away.

About a year ago, Pat Hughes, WGN radio announcer for the Cubs came in with a couple of items. I was NOT at work this day, but the next day my manager showed me the Wilson A2000 that was given on Ernie Banks Commemorative Glove day.

I could have bought it for about 32 bucks, but passed on it. I called a memoribilia store nearby and asked what they thought it was worth. They said about $350 without a signature, but much more with one.

I might try and buy it from my manager, because my old youth pastor once lamented to me that he never had an A2000 all his life, and he probably won't ever get one now......we'll see! (Banks is his favorite player!)

Who knows...I can only wear one glove at a time anyhow, and I have enough.

Sweet story though, and PIAS continues to be a great place to find amazing deals.

A most blessed Father's day to all!
