That's interesting, Mike. It was neat to find this photo awhile back, as an old Milwaukee Braves fan.
Then I picked up this Spalding Whitey Ford PM without the TraPocket stamping. Hmm...

Nice glove! I guess the "Patent Applied For" stamp explains it.

From the 1937 Rawlings catalogue. First year for "The Original Genuine Bill Doak" stamping and a good looking double pager.

Nice full page ad for the Pepper Martin DeLuxe PM model.

I happened across this full page ad from 1957. At the bottom is a tiny ad for a Rawlings "Royal Label" Turtle Back catchers mitt. I'm familiar with the Lopata and Lollar models but not this one. Image
Below is an example of the Royal Label LMX Model. It's pretty nice, top of the line in its day.

"The Acme of Perfection" Gotta love it!
Looks like a variation of the Denkert finger web patent was used on this glove.

A cool 1884 ad from "The Sporting Life"

Below is an enlargement of one section of the ad from above. There is an interesting history to the J.D Shibe & Co. Checkout the following link for the whole story by Chris Hornung. http://www.antiquefootball.com/a_j_reach.htm

Here's an ad for a cool Reach mitt. As far as I know the "Jimmie Foxx" model 3BB has yet to surface. The unique wrist strap distinguishes the mitt.

Below is a Reach "Joe Judge" mitt with that patented wrist strap.

Brett, are you bringing this glove to the National? I have the feeling you are. lol

I would say twenties because of the two-bar mask the catcher is wearing. That type of mask appears in the 1922 catalog for the first time.

Yes Ata, upon research it looks to be 1924-25. Here is a neat write-up about National Baseball Week.
