Rawlings Doak Model H

I am interested in the Doak Model H without any labels, 4 finger, H style web . When were they made and what would be the cost for one? What does the metal button say? Are the rare or easy to find. Any other information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

You could be looking for a WWll era military issue with the features you listed. Below are some pics of a USN "Doak" model. They are on ebay from time to time. Try Sports Artifacts or Vintage Sports Shoppe. The double patch models are sought after and higher priced than the basic military issue. The buttons are usually a plain black painted steel as brass was used in the war effort as was the nylon for the patch. I think you could get a real nice one for $40-$50. There are collectors of military sports equipment on this forum. CHIPPALINI is one that comes to mind. He may have an extra. VINTAGEBRETT or EBBETS55 may also have one or know where one is.

Bought one in ok shape for $16 on ebay. It is a darker brown from the examples shown and has U.S.A. stamped on the glove. Is it from before or after WWII?

Here is a 1940 Rawling's catalog image of the new H-web design.
