Hell All,
First off, many thanks to both Jim and Brett for their kind words of support. We’ve been working on this 2nd book for a while now and have received a great deal of encouragement from both of these fine gentlemen. In fact, Jim composed the Foreword for this one and each provided a review that you can see here on our website…

http://www.baseballglovecollector.com/jims-blog/ Dugout Treasures, Collecting Crossroads is indeed a new book…it is not simply a second printing of the first work which was entitled Memorabilia and Memories. Now, it does contain some familiar pieces and stories, but it includes over 40 new examples of vintage equipment that have been added to the collection over the past two years. I have stripped out the pieces we’ve sold or traded and tried to reflect the new look collection as it exists today. In fact, that is what the book is all about…an evolving collection and an exploration into how and why tastes change over time….something I know that we can all relate to.
This new book, which is about 10 pages longer than our first, also incorporates the work of two outstanding photographers to include the Connecticut artist who created the unique Collectograph process. More importantly, it contains what we a feel are the most significant pieces of our collection that just happened to have been added over the past two years.
Given how much time and effort went into them, both of our books are like children to me. That said, I do believe we achieved more sophisticated product here with Dugout Treasures, Collecting Crossroads.
I’d be very happy to answer any questions that any of you might have about the book…after all, talking about it is what makes it worth it.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Jonathan
