Henry Andrus and Theodore Naedele were born circa 1850 in Hartford CT. They met and became friends as football teammates at Yale. They joined into partnership in 1884 to engage in bicycle and sporting goods sales. They became Hartford's only full service sporting goods store by the turn of the century. They were highly regarded for their custom made fishing rods which today are highly collectible. They remained in business until 1924-25.
