Samuel Zackheim and Samuel Potolsky formed Atlantic leather Goods Co. in 1915 on Broadway in New York City. They bought out the interests of Hartman Bros. Fancy Goods in the same premises. Hartman Bros. were retailers and jobbers for leather goods such as billfolds, satchels, purses and other accessories. Atlantic Leather Goods also sold baseball gloves through their store for a short period of time through the 1920's. Their "Champion Brand" is scarce.

Whoa Nellie! Some knock out gloves there Mike. Funny, with leather purses and billfolds production start, that's how Nocona was started in 1926. Switched to athletic gear in the early 1930s. The joke Nocona's Jim Storey used to tell was that, while Nocona was making leather purses and billfolds, no one had anything to put in them during the depression. :P
