Henry and David Folsom formed H&D Folsom Arms in 1860 in New York City. They were a retailer and distributor of firearms and sporting goods. They became a very large supplier of many firearm brands and fishing/hunting gear. They branched out into Athletic equipment in the 1890's through an agreement with A.G. Spalding and later with other manufacturers, most notably, Denkert.

I owned a white Denkert Brand with the same riveted buckle strap as this Folsom mitt.

below is the original location at 15 Murray St. They moved a couple of times from the 15 Murray St. address, to Broadway and finally to Madison St. in New York City. Both those locations have since been redeveloped. I found a catalog listing from 1950 but nothing thereafter.
