Looking for a particular vintage glove

Postby studio1 » February 14th, 2012, 7:58 pm

I am interested in finding and purchasing a particular vintage baseball glove.
I found it recently on a "Vendio" website for "Cindybea" (There are still pictures on the site, although it now says SOLD). It was up for sale, so I purchased it using PayPal.

I then received an email from the woman selling the glove, that it had already been purchased 3 months earlier, but for some reason was still up for sale on the "Vendio" website.
She apologized and refunded my PayPal account, but I unfortunately lost out on the glove.

I would really like to find another glove of that same particular model.
The baseball glove is a "GLOBE G34 Stan Rojek" model. (From what I have been told, probably the early 50's)

I was born and raised in the hometown of Stan Rojek, and have a picture of me when I was a baby with my grandfather and Stan Rojek together.
I also have a signed baseball from Stan, that he gave to my father, and he has now given to me.

I was hoping to mount the picture with the baseball glove, ball and some of his baseball cards from the late 40's and 50's.

Could anyone possibly tell me more about this particular model glove, and if there is any possibilities of another one out there existing that may be for sale.

Anything you can find out would be greatly appreciated.

Please send any info to me at mwsikora@rochester.rr.com

Thanks in Advance,
Michael

There is a Rojek on eBay right now, not a Globe but a Hutch. If interested, here is the link:

Thanks Studboy,
I already have that particular Hutch model.
I really want to get a hold of the Globe 34.
Please keep your eyes open and let me know if you ever see a Globe out there!

Thanks again,
Michael
