I was actually looking for some examples of a full round/integrated thumb catchers mitt. I started a Google search at 1910 and worked back to 1890 looking through team photos and individual catchers. There were a lot of images to look through. The U. Michigan photo popped up as I was at 1895. I was stunned by the clarity/high resolution of the image to say nothing of the white button back mitt. Right now I have the Diamond brand Lajoie glove, the Brogan mitt and this new one on my must have list. I hope to acquire them in the coming weeks.

I bet they are in the same barn/ggarage attic that my Vermont label glove is in!

I came across a photo of Ruth and Gehrig yesterday. The photo wasn't that outstanding, except I noticed that the back of Ruth's glove is visible. I was trying to take a guess at the manufacturer. The label is visible, but sadly the photographer chose to focus on the players' faces and not the mitt label. Would anyone like to take a stab at the glove ID?

My poor image quality may not help the process any. Sorry for making it even more difficult.

Also, let me know if the photo is not accessible to you. I used to post with photobucket, but found their site drastically changed. I am trying a new sharing service, but I don't know if you will have access. Thanks.
