Ha....imagine what he'd find in amongst all those gloves

The first photo looks like it may be a "tipped finger" of some sort....doesn't it?? Looks like a cool fingerless and tipped finger set maybe?

That is a nice shot of the Elroy Rogers glove.

Like JD, I was also going through some old Baseball photos over the weekend. Love this view of a game circa 1887.

The Goodwin & Co. photos are a great resource. The catching glove is cool!

Couldn't resist adding this one. The "Grapefruit League" with Ted Williams & manager Joe Cronin.

Neat pictures, JD and Mike. Wonder if any more of those scar laced gloves have surfaced? I only remember one and it was a long time ago.
Here are a few pic's I've found:

Howie Pollet with what looks like a stubby finger Goldsmith.

A few of Carl Furillo and his little boy with his glove. I've heard that he used a Lonny Frey LF.

I think the glove Feller is wearing is a D&M G92 Chuck Klein model

The G92 has that unique wrist strap and intricate web tie-off. This illustration is from a 1937 catalog.

I always think of the D&M Klein when I see that laced wrist strap, too, and it's one of my favorites. I've seen a few other pro's using it, too. The early 30s version just had the laced web without the tunnels. I recently found that D&M made a Paul Dean model as well, though I don't know which years they were available.

Is that one yours Greg? It looks to be a G93X model. The Paul Dean endorsement is a new one for me.

No, not mine unfortunately. It's the first one I've seen, too.

I've always liked Frank Howard's 1962 Topps card, with his TGP or TG12. That glove looks big even on him, and the card says he was 6' 7" and 225 pounds. I found a couple other photo's of him with Macgregor gloves, too.
My first summer job was on the janitorial crew at Milwaukee Co. Stadium in 1970, when I was 16. If we had to come in early to finish cleaning the stands before a day game, they'd let us stay to watch the game. I got to see Frank playing left field for the Senators and Ted Williams, who managed them, standing outside the visitor's dugout. Frank looked big even way out in left field. He had a great year in 1970 and led in HR's with 44, and also led in RBI's and walks.

Another baseball card and the photo it was taken from, and sure enough they cropped out his glove, a Rawlings Mort Cooper I'm guessing.

I like the John Rigney photo. I haven't seen any with the 2 finger Ball Hawk in use.

Several colorized photos, a few from the Twitter site atabats recommended, baseball in color.

Those colorized photos are very cool. I like the lining in the Snodgrass glove too.
