Beautiful photos, Mike.
I found one more of the Babe with a white sewn web. This was taken while they were making "Pride of the Yankees."

Neat. It looks like a Spalding glove. I think the actress is Teresa Wright.
Below is a well known early image of Ruth with the catcher's mitt that caused a dust-up at auction awhile ago.

Love the gloves in that picture. The guy to the left of the Babe looks like a lefty with a right handed glove. Of course, Ruth was a lefty, too. Guess if all the donated gloves and mitts are righties, they didn't have much choice.

Ty Cobb and a couple of Tris Speaker--

Good glove photos are tough to find, but not for you apparently. Love the Cobb pic. Also, it looks like Speaker is with a mom Gehrig look-alike.

Moms of that era definitely looked more matronly. And probably had fewer tattoos. Oops, probably shouldn't have gone there.
That Cobb photo really captures his essence. Pretty scary. :)

Yeah, something tells me that even if he was playing catch with one of the neighbourhood kids he would still have that facial expression. The fire always burns with Mr. Cobb.

More colorized pics. Connie Mack of the Philadelphia A's. Whose glove is hanging on the wall behind? I wonder. Let them suffer Greg!

Lol. I'd love to have a store model of that glove, but I don't think they made one.
Wonder if he really could throw a lamb chop past a wolf? :)

Here he is with Ed Brandt of the Braves. Photo is circa 1934 when Grove moved from The Philadelphia A's to The Red Sox. He must have loved that glove. The finger lacing does look aftermarket in this photo.
Image

Here another unusual glove. The photo is Dazzy Vance circa 1925 before his contract with KenWel.
Image
The glove has a wrist protector mainly seen on catchers and basemitts. I've never seen such a design on an early open back fielders glove. The dark mfg. tag could be Wilson, Stall & Dean or D&M. Hard to tell.
Image

Here's another of Dazzy Vance on the left with teammates. The glove at his foot is a KenWel.
Image
The glove looks to be the early KenWel model with the tabs on the finger stalls. That's a rare one.

Those are some great Dazzy Vance photos, Mike. I haven't seen them before, and believe me, I was looking. :)
I just found this Virgil Barnes exhibit card. His glove looks alot like Dazzy's.

The buckle back Vance and Barnes glove above look to be the same. I looked through Jim's glove gallery and found a couple photos from different owners of a J.C. Higgins glove. Higgins used different Chicago based suppliers:
Western Sporting Goods, Ratsch/Chicago Sporting Goods, Wilson, Stall & Dean.

Looks similar to the Larry French glove posted earlier.

Here are a few that I posted years ago but were gone because of P'bucket and a few new ones.

Johnny Gill from 1936. Wish I could make out the tags--

Another view of Johnny Vandermeer's Flex-form glove--

Bill Mazeroski. I love how beat up his Wilson glove is--

I think it is a later style double tagged Rawlings Doak model. Some of them had that thumb seam protector.

I think you're right about that, Mike. I never saw a web like that on a Doak, but found one on JD's site on a Model J.
It just doesn't look like a Rawlings tag on the Johnny Gill glove. But Alex Taylor, James Brine, C&S and others had their stampings and tags on Doak gloves, too.
