Alexander Grant established Grant Hardware Co. in the 1880's in Syracuse NY. At the turn of the century his business included his sons and the name was changed to Alexander Grant's Sons Hardware. By the 1920's, they were one of the oldest and largest full service retail hardware outlets in the Syracuse area. Like many other hardware outlets, Grants eventually carried baseball and other sporting goods. Alexander Grant's Sons Hardware is not connected to the W.T. Grant Department Store chain of the same era.

Here is a 1922 Sporting Goods display. A cool display but not any baseball items I can see. Mostly camping, fishing and outdoor gear.

here is a Alexander Grant's brand glove with an interesting web and wrist strap. A nice, well made glove from the 1930's
