Getting our gloves signed

This came up when I spotted this Ruth/Dimaggio signed glove in a Heritage auction

How do you glovers feel about getting some of your gloves signed by players? I wrote an article for Sports Collectors Digest about this practice years ago and it seemed that some preferred this as another way to make contact with the player. Most often the object is getting the player to sign his endorsed glove or just an "unnamed" glove. My favorite signed glove is still the Musial-Terry Moore- Slaughter glove. Getting the autographs of that great early 1940s outfield was probably a rare treat. Recently I bought a team signed glove of 19 of the 2001 Texas Rangers baseball players signed glove. Included A-Rod and two deceased players. Got it really to help out the young fellow who needed the money. Another of my personal favorites is a signed glove by Allie Reynolds on one of the Wichita Sporting Goods gloves.
Your thoughts? :?:

I have a PM Musial that he signed on the inside of the pinkie. I picked up because of the glove and the signature was just an added bonus.
