Five-10 Greatest Gloves/Mitts??

Sometimes tuning into the Military Channel, I see segments called the 10 greatest,i.e. machine guns, sub machine guns, rifles, etc.
Wonder if we could put a list together something like these? Gloves that changed glove making or were significant at their time.
I would start with say the Erwin glove, padded catchers mitt, Doak glove, Vance Glove, Trapper Baseman Mitt, A2000, XPG and Trapeze Style Rawlings. These are just some starters. Would love to hear some thoughts and ideas.
Maybe we could vote. Just a though.

The gloves you mention are all milestones. I can think of variations and improvements on their themes but your list pretty much stands out.

I musta slept through that 2008 thread but some interesting models brought up in addition.
maybe we should divide by function and another list for desirability.
The Ruth, Speed Models, maybe even the Gehrig Zipper and the early 3-finger gloves were prominent and best sellers. The '30s 3 -fingers and zippers didn't have that long a life. Nor did the 2-finger gloves of the late 1940s.
Back to function, Rawlings dropped the Trapeze in favor of its XPGs which may or may not have copied the A2000 hinge model. The Rawlings revived the Trapeze and now that style is extremely popular in the modern glove world. We could also including the Rawlings Playmaker 3-fingers which re-adapted the 1930s styles. Almost all the makers had some style of 3 finger models in the late 1940s to mid 1950s.
