I second that! The "Babe Pinelli" model with the flaps of leather on the backs of the fingers is a nice contrast to the "Vance" model with the grommets through the fingers. I also like the Pat. Pend stamp on the "Vance" glove for what became their 1927 finger lace patent.

This morning I had more time to look over the 1925 Ken-Wel catalog that was recently posted. Having already looked at the equipment, this time I was struck by the number of photos and names of ball players displayed on the pages. Some pages feature one player, while others show several. At the time of printing, did Ken-Wel have to get approval from the players to do this and compensate them for their name and likeness being used? The names of the teams that the players were associated with are also stated. I imagine that these days, MLB would want compensation.

The 1905 full Victor catalog is really interesting. I see you are trying to get the 1909 one as well. Good luck.

Fellow collector Ed Cavagnaro sent in a bunch of Sears and Montgomery Wards catalog pages. Those are super tough and super welcome! Posted in the Library. Thanks Ed.

Today's upload is a 1911 Goldsmith catalog - lots of great baseballs and gloves to browse through. One thing I had never seen and thought was cool is an endorsed Napoleon Lajoie baseball.
