Favorite cloth patch of any era

I was hoping everyone could weigh-in on their favorite cloth patch of any era. A picture uploaded would be nice. It could be a classic one or some off brand or private label. Basically, whatever grabs you. I remember a Japanese glove with the Hurricane patch as being pretty stylin. I was looking through okdoak's pictures of 50's gloves and came across my favorite cloth patch. It reminds me of Caddys and '55 T-Birds. I remember that time as a golden age of industrial design.

Having had some experience helping on the design of Nocona's patches in the 1980s and '90s, this is a good thread to start. Big improvement we thought when we switched from the yellow Nokona logo to
something reflecting the American made.
My list of favorites is the one you posted on the trapper and the black cloud Rawlings.
1. Stall & Dean
2. Victor
3. Any of the goldens Wilson and Rawlings
4. Goldsmith 1920s '30s
5. D&M Lucky Dog
oh, and I shouldn't forget, the Phillips Sporting Goods Patch.

I like that Trapper patch, too! :) Think it's pretty neat that they put such an eye catching patch on a mid-line mitt. I second the Rawlings cloud patch, Joe and I love their Playmaker patch also. The J.A. Dubow patch that was on their early models is a beauty. Ken-Wel and Thos. Wilson are favorites too.

Joe, your choice of Victor is making me second guess my choice. I haven't seen many good patches from that company. They seem pretty rare. I kind of forgot how nice they look. I found this one on baseballglovecollector.com

I like the evolution of the Ken-Wel patch from the early oval shape, through the scroll design on okdoak's glove and onto the various script formats.

this early patch seems like a funky design to me, a little awkward but cool nevertheless. the lettering style is unique and kind of peculiar

Here are some of my favorites (I own the Dubow one in this thread - only one I've ever seen). As you can tell, I love patches. :)

A few that aren't especially favorites or anything special- they just happen to be tags that I already had photos of saved on my computer!

An unusual brand on an unusual glove- a buckle back with "Dazzy Vance" style finger lacing. Patch also has a blank spot to add your name (which I'm glad the original owner didn't!).

An American Eagle. Patch shows that these gloves were sold through the Spiegel catalog.

An early Mizuno (late-50's to early-60's). The small white tag says "Made in Japan".

Wow, just give me a minute to pop my eyes back into my head! Those are some beauties. Hate to tell you Brett, but you're not the only one with a J.A. Dubow. Sooner or later Ki Ki will sell me his. I've been after it for a long, long time. :)

the patches of vintagebrett have left me a little speechless. Yeah, I would say you like patches! What a collection of gorgeous and unusual glove patches. I like the Stall and Dean patch from akbandit. I haven't seen it before. What era is that from?
