This is the creme de la creme of glove books without a hesitation. It's a book I keep going through and through again. I watched some of its early shape during it's early days of pre-press and marveled at how John and his family, son Chris on the crisp glove photography that brings the leather and gloves to life (yes Ty Cobb lives again) and wife Vicky with her sharp eyes to detect flaws and timely suggestions. John has poured a portion of his life and his love into ball gloves and this is a pure reflection.
Sadly, I lament, I see a few of my old Indians in there, that somehow were finessed from my grasp. But. . . they're in a good home and now in this masterpiece of a tome. Very timely for our
marvelous hobby! John's taking some to the Baltimore National if you can make it.
