1" web endorsement help

Postby Bravosin99 » August 8th, 2009, 3:35 pm

Just received this glove from an ebay auction. Turns out the glove has a player endorsement but dad and I can't make it out for the life of us. Funny thing is, is that the entire last name is visible I think we just don't know what we are looking at. The first name ends in Y and the lasts name starts with Br and ends with K. Any ideas? The model number is 3104F.

Hi Josh,

Great looking old glove. Any chance you can snap a close-up of the endorsement for the thread? Usually, you have the eagle eye for signatures, but thought I might take a better look up close.

By the way, I am still looking for any old weird web gloves, so keep me in mind for a trade sometime.

OGID-

It could very well be.

I believe the logo is an XAC. Does anyone have a list of the players who endorsed their gloves?

Thanks, Josh

XAC

XAC is one of those infrequent brands that turns up. First name that came to mind but played maybe after this glove's period is Gibby Brack, short term career with Brooklyn in the 1930s. I'll do some more digging and see what I can find. You might try buying our glove finder book for help like this.

Josh, your glove looks a lot like this one. Look at the stamping closely....
