New Bidder ID Procedure for EBay?

Postby softball66 » February 14th, 2007, 12:38 pm

I think I'm seeing it right but are ebay bidders identities now being hidden by eBay? This is new and unveils perhaps new strategies now by bidders.
If you have adversaries you want to beat on a bid, you won't know who they are. Hot competitive bidding often takes place this way. You won't know if you're bidding against a friend and in some cases, not bid, might let them win the auction. Not to mention this might hamper the shill bidding that likely goes on.

it's supposed to protect the id's of bidders but it would cloak shillers right? what's rediculous is that it only hides bids under $200. and it actually tells the who the winner is. how does that "protect"? oh well, ebay has us by the throats.....
