WHO is T.L. PORTER AKA Bornagainliving

Postby drasher81 » February 13th, 2007, 10:57 pm

Does anyone know who this ebayer is?? He has bought and astronomical amount of gloves and doesnt seem to be slowing down. I have no idea how anyone could buy such a large amount with no apparent rhyme or reason as to what he is buying either. I have no idea how he is dropping over 2 grand in gloves just in the last day or so.

Move over Rob M. This guy is REALLY glove crazy.
He doesn't show up on my radar. All his buys have been recent and most gloves except for a little ammo.

He must be using some kind of bidding software. The end times for some of his wins have been seconds apart. Hope for his sake it's intentional and not the software just going haywire. Imagine that credit card bill? On the plus side he is racking up some serious bonus miles.

If you have some low quality gloves you want to unload just throw them on ebay with a buy it now. He seems to be buying everything in sight.

Interesting!

I emailed T. L. to congratulate him on all the gloves he's been buying. He emailed me back a "Who is this?" reply. I responded but haven't heard back from him. Seems like he would be interested in getting a glove price guide. Well...maybe not.

Joe, the last thing this guy needs is one of your guides. He'd never come back if he knew how much money he just wasted.

Who is T. L. Porter

Postby softball66 » July 19th, 2007, 8:52 pm

Isn't he the guy who jumped from the plane after the plane hijacking with the bag of money and was never heard from again?

Then again, it could be my "nom de plume" for the internet.

Does the name Rick Wascher & Sons ring a bell with anyone?

D.B. Cooper

Postby doubleSwitch » July 19th, 2007, 9:11 pm

Your thinking of D.B Cooper, Joe

When D.B. Cooper jumped from the plane it was thought his parachute
got tangled and he fell to his death. Around the mid 80's hikers found large amounts of decomposed money that was thought to be from the DB
Cooper jump. If he did survive he would be even crazier to invest the jump money on baseball gloves :) anyways TL Porter has around 4 or 5 Ebay user names. Some Sellers have been blocking him from their auctions. His latest user name is Water Walker.

Rick Wascher & Sons

Postby ebbets55 » July 19th, 2007, 10:30 pm

Joe, I just posted a response to this on the other topic. Rick Wascher & Sons bought a ton of gloves from me on my last round of selling. He is very pleasant and friendly to deal with. He's a quick PayPal'er and a nice guy. He's out of Wisconsin. You can check my eBay feedback and his for comments. No problems with him on my end.

I, too, have sold him quite a few gloves and he has been a pleasure to deal with. I'm just curious why the need for the constant username changes.
