Fall Newsletter Out Shortly

Printer's about done with the latest fall glove collector newsletter and it will be out early next week. We've taken up the Mickey Mantle game used Larsen World Series debate and we think have presented a fair assessment of the glove plus some new photos and ideas and opinions regarding it. This glove has resulted in a hot debate on the MEARS web site.
Inside story has a two-page spread of some 1950s photos of Ted Williams visiting the Wilson glove plant in Chicago. It was taken from a period Wilson Newsletter that was kindly sent to us. Not sure Ted was that interested in anything besides bats. He did sign a huge glove and sporting goods endorsement with Sears after leaving Wilson.
Also a story on the passing of the creator of the Gold Glove Award for Rawlings, Elmer Blasco.
