spotting original lace in a vintage glove...

Please forgive if this has already been asked- I looked through some old posts, and didn’t see it.

Often we are told that a vintage glove has all original lacing. How can you really tell? I mean, it could have been relaced years and years ago, right?

Does knowing if a vintage glove has all original lace, just come with experience? What are some clues to look for?
Give us the gate key. I have no gate key.
Fezzik, tear his arms off. Oh, you mean this gate key!
