Nokona Chieftain Web Lacing?

Postby wjr953 » August 6th, 2008, 3:57 pm

I picked up a Nokona Chief-Tan catcher's mitt today. The glove is in excellent shape, very soft and nicely broken in. Does anyone have any pix of the lacing for the upper part of the web? This glove is between 30" and 32", that would make it a youth glove. Any help that anyone can give me on this would be very much appreciated. PM's are okay if you'd prefer to do it that way. I can post pix if anyone wants to see the glove. Anyone have any idea how old this glove might be? Thanks to all.

What's the model number on the catchers mitt. Chief tan was the leather used.

I can't really see any model # on it just yet. I am going to take it home and look at it more closely. I'll let you know as soon as I find anything. Thanks!

softball66,
After checking the glove over carefully, I found the model number CM43, just above the Nokona label near the middle of the palm. I'm hoping I can get some lacing pix for this and maybe find out how old it is. I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile to just send it along to Nokona so they can fix it for me. Anyone have any comment on doing that? Does anyone have any idea what they normally charge for a simple repair like that? I know others on this forum have had good experiences with Nokona repairs. Any input would be very helpful folks. Thanks!

Relacing

Email me at glovecollector@mac.com and I'll have picture of the CM43 for you on its webbing.
And, yes, Nocona can do relacing for you. Will do a fine job. Not sure of the charge for repair but they are reasonable, very nice folks.
