Need some help

Bob C. at Rawlings is working on a remake of XFG-1 from 1968. Has anyone got one of these and can check out the following for Bob?
"a XFG-1 from1968 I"m looking at the thumb loop and I don't think it comes out side untill the tip of the thumb and not over the back of your thumb, does that make any sense? I"m thinking there is no adjustment to these loops."
