Is this normal?

Had to share this with you guys as I'm sure you'll all appreciate it...

I recently bought an old dilapidated glove off of Ebay for a measly $9. It was an old Wilson that was grimy, moldy and smelled like a frat house after a good weekend jag. Anyway, despite the appearance, I was excited about what I envisioned this glove could be. So I figured this would be a good experiment at trying my first complete makeover for an old glove (cleaning, conditioning, relacing, piping trim repair, etc.)

I had already cleaned and conditioned it and was waiting for the lacing/lacing tool to arrive at my house. The day (Tuesday) I was expecting these to arrive, I spent the entire day at work thinking about my impending repair work. I couldn't get the thoughts out of my head about conditioning the laces, carefully stringing them through and bringing this old beauty back to life for another generation to enjoy. Remember Ralphie in Xmas story running home and checking his mailbox? That was me getting home that day. My wife thought I was absolutely crazy. I couldn't dig into this project fast enough!!!

I just need to hear it from someone out there...Is this normal???;-)

I wish I took some 'before' pics but I was blinded by my excitement in getting the glove cleaned up. The finished product came out real nice and I learned a few things along the way. In fact, a nice 'Roy McMullen' endorsement surfaced after the cleaning, with a touch of silver still left in it, so that was a nice bonus.

Wow, that was theraputic! Thanks for listening.
