Surprise glove

Postby dwknowles » September 4th, 2006, 12:12 am

Much to my surprise, my cousin told me he had his fathers first glove, still in the box, and wondered what it was worth. After a few minutes of gauging his willingness to sell, I quickly found out that issue was pointless. (which is sad since he has no intrest in it, gloves, baseball, or in fact his father.... not really sure why he wants to keep it) But any way he got it out and it was a youth model Hutch Gene Thompson. It still has most of the silver, and very little surface dirt. The piping all looked good and the only Blemish is his fathers name written on the wriststrap. Now for the kicker. The Box (a non picture box) IS IMPECABLE. Bright red and blue, totally unfaded, and as sound as the day it was made. No bad corners or tears.

I checked the price guide, and looked a bit, but just wanted to get an idea of what you guys thought it would be worth ballpark in your own judgements
