Personal Model vs. Autograph Model

Postby kenyon » February 20th, 2008, 12:02 am

Would anyone mind explaining the difference between Personal Model and Autograph Model? I understand Personal Model is more desirable. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Companies would often issue several different levels of gloves to fit different price ranges in their line-ups.

Generally speaking, most of the time the gloves labeled "Personal Models" would be the top-of-the-line gloves, full adult-sized models with thicker leather and better materials and construction. These gloves were often the exact same models the company would offer for professional play.

The "Autograph Models" were usually the cheaper ones, often mid-sized or kid-sized and aimed at that segment of the market.

This isn't a set-in-stone rule, but a good rule-of-thumb that is more often than not correct.
