Cool picture!

Since the Caprico gloves date to the early 60's, and this shot is from an old-timers game in 1962, you can imagine Jackie grabbing one out of the closet that had been supplied by the maker right before he headed out for the game.

Well, I'm surprised and not surprised. Funny, the leading glove makers of the day didn't rush to sign up Jackie for an endorsement or at least he didn't endorse with one of the biggies. I was at the home of Roy Anderson's yesterday and he owns one of the few Jackie Robinson USA made store mitts bearing his signature, a Dubow. I've pictures of Jackie with the Rawlings trapper on his hand. Roy also had a photo of Jackie jumping into the air with what looks like (Whoa) that MacGregor claw glove, the one with the webbing in the middle called, I think, the Claw.
Robinson is one of those mystery glove users, like Greenberg and Koufax who didn't seem to carry endorsements. Go figure!
