Does anyone have access to James W. Brine sporting goods catalogs from this period (1940's)? Unfortunately, the Catalog Source Book lists only the 1923, 1925, 1931, 1935 and 1953 Brine catalogs.

Interestingly, the 20's and 30's Brine fielder's gloves all seem to carry two or three digit model numbers. The 1953 catalog shows model numbers using five digits- as is evident on the glove in the auction. In fact, there is an RG230 model shown for 1953, the exact model number as the glove in question.

From an authentication standpoint, it would be interesting to know what year Brine began using the five digit "RG" model designations.
