Good glove photos are tough to find

I like the Hank Aaron photo wearing a MacGregor SpiderWeb glove with reverse button. First time I have seen that one. Below is a team photo circa 1900.
Player in the middle looks to be sporting a Ted Kennedy glove with buckle back and laced wrist opening. Pretty cool!

Two All-Star shortstops from the 1940's. Marty Marion looks a bit amused by the condition of Eddie Miller's glove.

Mel Ott.

I like Mel Ott's glove. I've owned the Reach OOW model with the web strap between thumb and first finger. They're pretty common. The one pictured has the web strap anchoring both the first finger and middle finger. I believe it to be the "Sam Hale" model. It's pretty rare.

Good eye, Mike. I really like that style of glove, too. I still have a OOW, but not the cool Sam Hale model. The one that was on ebay awhile back went pretty fast as a $500 BIN or Best Offer.

Ki Ki Cuyler with a Dubow. I was happy to see that Bill Nicholson photo with his Dubow that you posted awhile back. I have a soft spot for Dubows, my first glove was made by them.

If the Nicholson glove was the triple web model, that one is a beast. I only have the Johnny Mostil Dubow model right now. Dubow is also one of my favorites.

Is your Johnny Mostil the one with those unique welted seams? That's a cool one.
I just have a few Dubow gloves, a Pete Reiser, Augie Galan, and a top of the line Tom Brewer from the 1950's. Their high end models were well made and good quality.
Also have a Hal Gregg that's stamped True Value that sure looks like it was made by Dubow.
I just picked up some ad pieces for the 1948 Dubows that I'll post in a bit.

Hilarious interview Greg, it's a must read! I forgot he played for the Stompers. That's my neck of the woods.

That's pretty amazing that he pitched 5 2/3 innings and got the win in that game at age 67. I've read that he's still playing ball around the country at age 70.
I'm 63 and that's pretty inspiring for me, though my baseball skills are more at the game of catch level.
Coincidently, I heard that Bobby Doerr passed away recently. Hall of Famer, teammate and friend of Ted Williams, and lived to be 99. That's pretty amazing, too.

You sure you weren't bitten by a radioactive spider?
All I know is that it really pays dividends to stay physically active. I don't play any sports, but I've been painting and roofing my old fixer upper since I retired last year. I'm looking around for a cheap gym to join and want to do some cross country skiing and ice fishing this winter.
My late Grandfather loved to hike and he hand split umpteen cords of wood for his cabin. He lived to be 98.
