Favorite endorsed model glove

I think my top 3 are:

1. Babe Ruth D&M G41 fielder's glove. Great player and super color to this glove. I've never owned one, but I've seen a few in person. Very great glove.

2. Johnny Mostil fielder's glove. Dubow or Marathon. This glove is built like a tank. Large glove with a thumb guard and reinforced finger crotches/wells. A really well made glove.

3. Black Andy Pafko A2080. Strange outward seam design that lacks the thumb guard. Unusual looking glove with great eye appeal.

i know not technically a vintage glove but my faves gotta be my: Wilson George Brent MVP A2364 personal model. i just like everything bout it plus was one of my first baseball gloves

I'm not really an endorsement guy but I really like the signatures of Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb. I'd like to own an S&D Cobb and a Goldsmith Wagner at some point but it's a dream at this point. Another one I really liked was Goose Goslin glove my dad had at one point when I was younger - the signature was absolutely monstrous and took up a good portion of the pinky area.

Nocona's Bob "Riverboat" Smith glove made for my hand like a custom fitted glove. I had one and Glover Mike Yachnik sent me one in better condition.
I have them ready for rubber ball practice against the wall.
One guy wrote in to this question of favorite glove and he said: "the last one I found!"

A Wichita Sporting goods from the Great Wichita glove find; another Wichita Sporting Goods glove and signed by the Super Chief Allie Reynolds; a Rawlings RL1 Personal Johnny Bench and signed by Bench; a J. C. Higgins glove signed by the all-time famous St. Louis Cardinals 1940s outfield of Stan Musial, Terry Moore and Enos Slaughter. Oh and a glove used in the movie "A League of Their Own."
Nothing to stand on your head about but reflects collect what you like and like what you collect. If you want to hear the Johnny Bench catchers mitt story, I will be glad to share it.

I have scaled my collection way back to just the HOF oldies and Sewn Webs but if I have to choose (and although not rare by any means) My personal favorite(s) would have to be Walter Johnson TruSport(2), Cy Young TruSport, Joe DiMaggio TruSport, and a Hornsby Lowe & Campbell. Of the ones that I have traded first and foremost at the top of the list is a Phil Todt Wilson base mitt that i will get back hopefully one day!

I've always been a fool for stampings on gloves and one of my favorites is the Alexander Stall and Dean Speed Model with the pitcher figure on the heel. Regretfully I don't own one. Ah, someday... Also like the ones that have the script signature next to large block letter name. I have a Joe Medwick Davega like that which also has 7 lines of stamping from the heel to the center of the pocket! Don't know why they stopped there, they still had a good inch and a half before they hit the fingers. I've always thought the Dazzy Vance models were beautiful looking gloves. Rawlings Musial Playmaker is a favorite also with the Stan the Man batting figure in the pocket as is the Wilson Andy Pafko that Ricky mentioned. I've heard that you either love or hate that style of glove. Super dark brown leather, cool I-web, plus the inverted seams and Andy's great signature; what's not to love?!

Brett, I love that Goose Goslin Triple Play glove. Is that the one you are talking about? It's like over a foot tall. Look in the Other Manufacturers Gallery.

I love my Sherry Magee Victor 1" Web. It's the only one I have ever seen and is of the highest quality with a great feel. But I guess my favorite gloves are unendorsed.

Fellow glovers this is what I call a great subject and I can see where everyone loves what they love cause I could love them too.
OkDoak maybe sometime we need to do a separate post on glove pocket illustrations like the old Speed models thru some of the more current. Some are really nifty like the Musial in his famous peek a boo stance.
On the Bench deal, I took three heart of the hide Bench mitts (two from other collectors) for him to sign at a show. He wanted to know where I got them and offered to buy all of them. They weren't all mine so I couldn't but I told him I would get some more and did and sent him 3 or 4 over the next few years. I think he was using these to sign and give away at charity golf tournaments. He even bought a Bench Target mitt from me. It was fun
doing that. Finally I could find any more. Getting back to the SCD story I wrote on getting gloves signed, what fun it was working with Bench and Rose and finding out why Joe Morgan used such a small glove. And yes, a funny Dave Concepcion moment, didn't happen to me but one of our collectors. The Red Machine days. Aaaah.

2. Reach Model CB Pat Duncan full web.
3. JC Higgins conjoined finger Larry French.
4. Original Bill Doak. Love the oil treated leather, real high quality leather.
