Question on current MLB Players signing vintage gloves?

Question from another newbie here...
Do vintage glove collectors frown upon current MLB players signing vintage gloves? I would think that an old 50s Hutch with a Ritchie Ashburn endorsement would be pretty cool with say, a genuine Chase Utley signature. Is this an accepted or desireable practice? Just curious. Thanks.

I would think that if you like it and you are going to keep it, go for it.
