A kid needed a glove, so ...

Postby Cowboy7130 » April 4th, 2008, 12:31 am

A kid on my son's Senior League team lost his glove a few weeks ago. He had borrowed a teammate's back-up glove for the past few games, but it was a too-small leftover Little League glove. I told him I had several gloves for sale, and he wound up diminishing my collection by two Rawlings gloves that were in almost new condition. (He couldn't make up his mind, so he decided to get both! )

So tonight I am watching the team play and there he is with one of the gloves out at second base, the GGP 200-4, and he makes every play, snags a hot grounder and a tall throw that he might not have snagged with the borrowed Little League glove, and I am sitting in the bleachers thinking, "Yeah, I sold him that glove!"

I kinda miss the glove, but is it weird to feel proud of it, that it is out there playing ball and playing well?? :? :?
Yes, I still have my first glove.
