i thought it was going to be phil rizuto as he kept his glove forever and had it continually repaired.

It was Phil Rizzuto. I didn't think Halbersheim spent that much time on the Dodgers in his '49 book. But he had a lot to say about Scooter who was pound for pound, the best player in baseball at this time.
But, they said Billy Cox glove was the worst. LOL!
I have picture of Reese using a pretty nice Rawlings Mort Cooper glove I think.
